Determinants of resistance to the use of ERP in the context of farms in Morocco
Abstract
With the aim to support their competitiveness, agricultural enterprises are increasingly investing in information systems and technologies. However, the adoption of these is complicated, especially since the ERP sometimes encounter resistance from users. Studying the phenomenon of resistance to the use of information systems and technologies in the agricultural sector by operational staff appears to be topical in IS management research. The objective of this article is therefore to determine the main factors that may explain the resistance of users to the use of information systems and technologies in the agricultural sector in Morocco.
To carry out this research, we adopted a quantitative confirmatory study on a population of 84 users of Moroccan ERP X-agricole. The results of this research note that training, culture, influence social and anxiety influence the resistance of users. We have also demonstrated that the technological factors do not influence this phenomenon.
